One was used in most cutscenes (the high-polygon model) while the other was used for everything else. Here's a comparison. They also hint at a FF XIII-3 and say information is likely to be found out soon (which fits with the timing of their normal Summer Square Enix events in August). And with this year being the 25th.
I want this game for my birthday and from what I've seen it looks amazing. However, I have been reading mixed reviews on the game. It's not getting a lot of praise from many people, and I'm just wondering if it's THAT bad. I've heard some say it's the worst FF, no, game they've ever. I've heard some say it's the worst FF, no, game they've ever played in their life. I think that's a bit of a stretch, but my favourite final fantasies are X and VII (especially X). What is your opinion of this game? Please don't compare it to others in the series because that's where I find it to be annoying, as they all have their own unique twists. Best Answer: Before I start telling you if the game is any good, you should know that I thought Final Fantasy 13 was TERRIBLE in regards to what Final Fantasy usually provides us.
Imagine every week on Monday for a year your dad gives you specially made taffy he created himself and it's of a unique taste that which you'd NEVER find on market. Suddenly this upcoming week you've been looking forward to getting that specially made taffy as your father hyped up the idea of a new flavor he created, Then when Monday arrives your father gives you a generic piece of peppermint candy. Now how do you feel?
If your feeling disappointment that's exactly how long time Final Fantasy fans felt like after the 5 year wait for FF13. Peppermint candy is great and all, but we wanted what we were getting before because you can't really find the same sort of uniqueness anywhere else. Now is the game good? Yes The graphics, as you probably know, are gorgeous and are like sweet candy for your eyes. The level of detail they put into it is amazing.
The music, is amazing just as usual, but easily forgotten. Gameplay, is TECHNICALLY flawless, no glitches, everything is super slick and smooth, and everything moves very quickly.
The game is not very interactive as an RPG should be and focuses most of all of your attention on visuals and effects. The leveling up system 'Crystarium' is needlessly over-designed, it tries to stress variability in how you level up, but the path set for you is OVERLY linear and the choices given are not many. The choices that are present usually consist of giving you a small upgrade in stats (Not to be confused with it being bonuses because that's not what they are, just normal increases.) or your occasional new ability. Depending on the stories chapter the player is forbidden to level up any higher than what they're given, as the game continues the points used to level up become insanely high and annoying to look. You'll be finding yourself spending 20,000 points or maybe even 100,000 points just to get the generic HP+4 node. The system could've been traded off for a traditional leveling system and it wouldn't have changed a thing about the game.
The battle system is GREAT, it's a lesser version of the Final Fantasy 10-2 system, but instead of changing dress spheres you change paradigms or job roles. Unfortunately the game ONLY lets you control one character and the rest are automatic, the AI can range from extremely helpful to slightly annoying, enough to make you wish to have full control.
The summons are for all intents purposes useless, besides healing the party anything the summons can do you can do better with general gameplay, even their damage output aren't as helpful. One of the negatives that general people and fans don't like is that it takes the game a total of 20-30 hours to give you the full capabilities of its battle system, that's literally half of the game done so they could ease in new comers (as if anyone would be that darn slow >_>), until then though depending on your understanding of the system the battles will remain on the easy side and shoot up to excruciating once you hit the 30Hr mark. Story: Very subjective, but I will tell you what I thought about it. WAAAYY too focused on the party without solid justification, the characters were mostly annoying and were either whining, complaining, or monologing, almost no humor can be found, characters have weak motivations, depressing tone throughout the entire game, characters have no motivation mid-game and are literally wandering about for hours, villains were underused, lacked screen time, and information, Datalog was key to fully understanding the story, vital story information to understanding the ending of the game is withheld until AFTER the player beats the game and completes the side missions. I did not like it.
Overall: Technically sound game with no technical issues, but the actual issues generally were based around the overall quality of the game. The graphics, as expected in this generation of games, are beautiful, but the aesthetics were wonky. The music was excellent, but most tracks were forgettable. The gameplay is good, but mostly just based around visuals and effects, nothing bad but nothing deep either. The story was personally below average, the game came in expecting you to already know its world, bits of important information scattered here and there between the general story, flashbacks, and datalogs.
How To Remove Solidworks Installation Manager Not Working. The story was MUCH too focused on the party, because of this special side characters, villains, places, ETC all seem under-represented. Final Fantasy 13 is definitely worth playing, its not as bad as fans imply sometimes, but it is a solid 'Love it or Hate it' game and average RPG. Ultimate delusion Verses XIII is a entirely exceptional game then final fable XIII. The only thing they're mentioned to have in long-established is a normal theme. Final myth XIII can have a entirely exclusive battle procedure and pics variety.
That said, i am buying final fable XIII for the PS3. The in-game graphics will likely be in general identical between the Xbox and the PS3 variant, nonetheless the CGI cut scenes had been compressed on the Xbox version and can simplest show at 720p whereas the PS3 reduce scenes can be at full 1080p. I mean it's fun for a GAME but terrible for a FINAL FANTASY GAME, it's easily one of the top 3 worst games in the series. I feel like this game had the potential to be one of the best too. - The graphics are beautiful - Their world is beautiful - The battle system: this was actually pretty good. I think all they need to do is take out auto battle. I mean COME ON man what kind of game has an AUTO BATTLE command.
That's like making a shooter game where you just have to find the enemy and they'll shoot them for you. All you had to know how to do was switch shifts and press X. They take out that auto battle and the battle system would be damn near perfect. You really don't even need summons. -The characters: I think they're pretty good. Not one of the best I've seen in FF but they're decent enough to like. By far my favorite character is Lightning. She is easily one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters of all time. Hood Seafurl 5 Manual more.
- The vital thing they need is side quests and world map roaming. If they fix this and the battle system this game would be freaking awesome. This is the #1 thing they should've done idk how the hell they made a FF with no roaming. - TOO MUCH CUTSCENES.
The game is just cutscene, walk, battle. - the story is waaaaaaaaaay too short dude what the hell is 13 CHAPTERS I want 13 DISKS.
The average person can beat the game in like 2/3 days, about 18 hours. Which can be one day if you really hardcore. MAN I can't beat all the other ones in a WEEKS time.
They all took me around 48-70 hours to beat. Overall though it is pretty fun and worth a play.
If you notice, majority of the changes I said they need to make are stuff you expect a FF to have. In other words, if they had put the usual stuff, this would've been classic and probably one of my favorites. Well, unlike VII, it is extremely linear. However, the combat system is phenomenal and is the best out of all the final fantasy games. For me, the first 3 chapters were a little slow (there are 13 in total) but picked up quickly. I love this game and even though the story is a little confusing, this is one of my favorite final fantasies along with IV and VII.
I sunk at least 90 hours into this game, which is more than I have played any of the online multiplayer games I have. It's not for everyone, but you should at least give it a shot. It's different i'll tell ya that much. I mean it is still enjoyable i guess, maybe im just not far enough into the story yet to enjoy it. But they keep switching who you play as around.
You don't level up, you just gain crystogen points to upgrade your roles (Commando, ravager, medic, etc) I think XIII-2 was way better. And yes i played the second one first and liked it so figured id like first one, and i do, but not nearly as much. Just something about it, i don't know what though.
Like i said it is a good game though, i still play it. • Tell us some more • Upload in Progress • Upload failed. Please upload a file larger than 100x100 pixels • We are experiencing some problems, please try again.

I'm been extremely interested in Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2 for a long time, and since the PS4 is about to be released, I'm getting one. Except the game was meant to be played on PS3. I just wanted to know whether or not I will be able to run Final Fantasy XIII and/or XIII-2 in PS4. If not, then which. If not, then which console should I buy: Xbox 360, PS3 or PS4? No you will not be able to play ps3 games on the ps4 console because ps4 does not have something called backwards compatability.
Also if i were u i would buy a ps3 right now and get a ps4 later cause maybe in a year or 2 there will be better games and the price will be brought down. Also i had final fantasy 13 on xbox 360 and on ps3 and if your more interested in playing final fantasy let me tell u get it on PS3 cause i had 13 on xbox and the cutscenes were really low quality and i finished 13 on ps3 like 3 weeks ago and the cutscenes were super high quiality crystal clear so get it for ps3. Plus ps3 also has better games then xbox i highly recommend u get uncharted 1, 2,3 they are superb. • Tell us some more • Upload in Progress • Upload failed.
