This year, in place of traditional OCI, we will be hosting a cocktail reception for all 1Ls at UVA on Wednesday, March 20th at 6:00 p.m. This event serves to remove the less pleasant aspects of OCI and allows everyone to meet one another in a more natural and relaxed setting. The event will give us the chance to meet all 1Ls who are interested in the firm- not just ones who could get an interview slot through the list-matching process- and without the stress of having to rush off to another interview.

Callback interviews will be conducted over the summer, and offers held for at least a month after OCI takes place so students have plenty of time to weigh their options, should they choose. It would be great if you could circulate this invite to your groups 1L members. I have attached a copy of the invite, and the details are below as well. Please let me know if you are able to assist with this. Who’s Invited: 1L students Why: We want to meet you and for you to meet us in a more natural/more social environment than OCI interviews — and without the 20 minute time constraints Objective: This is to replace the OCI interviews in the Fall.

Procedure: If you like us, send us your resume anytime after June 1, 2013. We will schedule interviews beginning this summer. Offers will be delivered throughout the summer and held open through OCI. Where: The Local, 824 Hinton Avenue, Charlottesville, VA When: Wednesday, March 20th at 6:00 p.m. RSVP: Natalie Martinez at nataliemartinez@quinnemanuel.com.
