Yet there is something that can be done, at least it worked for me, I copied the crack 'age2_x1' changeing his name in the 'age2_x1_1.0c' in the home folder of the game, in my case: D: Games Microsoft Games Age of Empires age2_x1 (changed his name in order not to delete the other cracked image of the 1.2 patch), and so I changed the 2 version just by switching their names; so whenever you wanna watch a recorded game of 1.0c or play with a friend that doesn't have the 1.2 patch installed just switch the 2 versions by changing their name! Note: - Works only with the patched age2_x1 executable file by UserPatch. - Should works with any future version of UserPatch. Installation: Method1: Copy NoCD Patch to the same folder (usually age2_x1) as the age2_x1.exe file and start NoCD Patch.

Method2: Start NoCD Patch from any location and click 'Search the file'. Choose now the age2_x1.exe file.

Note: Game must be closed. Otherwise it does not work.

Now I've un-installed the patch, but I still can't play AoC. I've also deleted the SetupAoC.exe from my computer, so that can't be the problem either. Any help or suggestions? Thanks in advance! When i installed the patch for the first time I had the same problem, the game was still running the 1.0c version.

I've uninstalled the game(from local disc C), erased all the data then installed it again (in local disc D, in a 'microsoft games' new folder), ran the 1.0c patch, copied the 1.0c crack, than installed the 1.2 patch and pussy wood also and now it works just fine! I have a laptop with win7 64 bit operating system installed, I've tested it with a couple of friends on GR, probably works just fine on voobly as well.

One last thing, a friend of mine couldn't make it work the first time so he downloaded the patch again and re-installed it checking all the boxes, and afterwords it worked, so don't give up! Ok, I will try this. Thank you for your explanation, really helps out =) Posts: 26 Joined: Jan 20, 2013.
