To protect your fabrics, not all temperatures are available with every cycle. If a temperature is not appropriate for the cycle, it cannot be selected. All wash water temperatures are automatically regulated to maximize detergent effectiveness and improve washing performance. The water temperature can be affected by a variety of factors, including the water heater setting and its distance from the washer, water usage in other parts of the home, and seasonally low ground water temperature in some geographic areas.
To increase the water temperature for your washer, look into the following: • Water heater setting. It is recommended that you set your water heater to 120 degrees or higher to ensure proper performance. • Hot water usage elsewhere in the home. Your hot water heater may not be able to supply enough hot water for simultaneous, multiple uses.
